For Sale: Jeanneau Sun Fast 3300 – Brave Ulysses

The Jeanneau Sun Fast 3300 is the brain child of Guillaume Verdier and Daniel Andrieu, whose collaboration guarantees high performance and success under a variety of rating rules. Taking advantage of Jeanneau’s long history of infusion manufacturing, every part of the 3300 is infusion molded, dramatically reducing the all-up weight of the boat while increasing stiffness. Combining the light hull with twin rudders, carbonfibre rig, generous sail plan, and straight keel, the 3300 will excel as an offshore racer. Sailing fully crewed, double, or singlehanded, this Sun Fast is a truly exhilarating boat – she can be raced or used for ‘fast cruising’. Brave Ulysses was launched at the end of 2020 (with a 2021 hull number) and has been used extremely lightly (Covid lockdowns and last year being ‘parked’ for the season which equals a total of 1.5 seasons use only). She is ‘ready to go’ with a water ballast system and full electronics package – fresh antifoul (May 2025) and serviced for the season. For Sale: Kaufman 43 – Temptress

The Kaufman 43 is a classic cruiser/racer, designed by Michael Kaufman and built in Taiwan in 1985/86. One of only four boats built worldwide Temptress is a stretched version of the Albin Nimbus 41 and reminiscent of early Swans. She is designed for offshore passages with a strong balance of speed and comfort, and performs well upwind, competently handling heavy weather. A new Beta 60hp engine was fitted in 2015 and drives a three-blade feathering propeller. Her substantial keel- stepped double spreader mast had new standing rigging in 2022 and had a removable inner forestay for a staysail added.

She has plenty of accommodation, and a teak interior fit out with blue upholstery throughout. A 2025 survey concluded that “Temptress to be in very good condition throughout for a vessel of her age”. She has been in the same ownership for over 20 years and has cruised extensively from the Azores to the Arctic Circle. The broker says this is a truly special boat and a very rare opportunity.
